Getting There in Riga

airBaltic, the national flag carrier, is the easiest and often the cheapest way of reaching Riga. Use their website www.airbaltic.com for the best deals.

You can also get there from a few cities by Ryanair - it's cheap.

The airport is eight kilometers far from the center of Riga. You can buy a 10-day visa on arrival. The currency exchange is opened 6 AM to 10 PM. There is a VISA/EC/MasterCard cash machine. The baggage room is opened 9 AM to 9 PM. Information bureau telephone is 7207136.You can get to town using a taxi (tel.7207509) or bus (N22). The train station is located in Riga's center. Currency exchange is opened 8:30 AM to 9:30 PM. There is a VISA/EC/MasterCard cash machine in the post office on the right and near McDonald's in front of stations building. Baggage room is opened 4 AM to 1 AM. The information bureau is opened 8 AM to 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM to 8 PM. You can get to town by taxi (not less, then 2 Ls) or by foot (free). Old Riga is left to you when you leave stations building. The bus terminal is opened 5 AM to 0 AM. Currency exchange is opened 8 AM to 8 PM, baggage room- 5:30 AM to 11 PM. you can get to town using tram N7 or by foot (turn left and follow the signs "Vecriga-Valnu iela").
