Nightlife and Entertainment in Verona
Edit ThisAnytime the city of Verona is mentioned, love and romance comes to mind because of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet." Verona also has an ancient and magnificent past that includes medieval knights and Renaissance beauty. Any trip to this lovely and bountiful town will have travelers thirsting for more. Verona’s nightlife is like no other city in Europe and is definitely a romantic get a way for the love struck couple.
City of LoveThe tragic and epic story of Romeo and Juliette, which takes place in the city of Verona, is Shakespeare’s tribute to both love and family. This romantic tale seems to be alive and well in city streets and in the nightlife bars and pubs. On the banks of the Adige River that crosses the city, there is a beautiful network of stone bridges. During the pleasant summer months where the temperatures can dip down into 50 degrees at night, these bridges serve as the gateways to the nightlife of Verona. Once across the many bridges of Verona the traveler is met with an explosion of lights and music--and a fantastic view. Any traveler will enjoy the spectacular and fantastic historic landmarks of the city of Verona and as the sun dips to darken the city, the nightlife comes alive.
Live MusicThe city of Verona is alive with music and lights and this can best be experienced at the Piazza Delle Eerbee which is the natural hub of the city's activities in downtown Verona. A favorite spot for the nightlife crowd is the Café Delle Eerbee which hosts a variety of international elite as well as local clientele. If the American traveler is interested in pub crawling, then it is off to Ferro’s, an American bar, on Via Fumicello. For a taste of real Italian nightlife one should visit the Teverna Degli Scaligeri at the Via Sottoriva Escalatori, which is a great place for beer and conversation. After a night of pubs and clubs of Verona it is nice to have a nightcap at the Masceron bar in the Piazza Sanczeno. Both the bar and the piazza are wonderful spots that get very crowded in the summer and on winter weekends but are places that always seem to have room for one more weary traveler.
