Bars and Cafes in Verona
Edit ThisVerona has always offered a great selection of food and drinks in its cafés, although depending on how much money you have to spend, you may need to pick and choose your hot spots. Caffé Dante is one of Verona’s oldest cafés and offers a wide variety of coffee drinks. It sits in a Renaissance palazzo around the Piazza dei Signori area where you will enjoy the chilly atmosphere after a long morning of hiking through the town. For the average tourist, this may just fit the bill.
Along your way through one of the largest tourist areas of Verona (Piazza Bra), stop in at Café Opera and enjoy some of their delicious gelati or a warm cappuccino. You pay extra for the location, but it is a nice rest stop as you cruise the area.
BarsYou will find plenty of bars along your Verona journey, some of which are more expensive than others, although most, like Bottega Dei Vini, will offer a variety of drinks ranging from cheap to expensive. This particular bar, located off Via Mazzini, is perfect for the wine enthusiast. You can purchase a less expensive “daily special” wine, or splurge and buy a specialty wine.
You will find many of the bars in Verona to be situated either near the Arena, Piazza Bra or Piazza Erb, as these are large tourist sites. Caffè Al Teatro is located just off the main square and Piazza Bra and offers an outdoor seating area where you can order a selection of beers, Panini’s and more.
