Residenza Cannaregio was originally an ancient artisan establishment, called "Squero" and was formerly a place where gondolas were built. It is located near to the Jewish Ghetto (Campo De Gheto Novo) which is the oldest in Europe. The area is very typical of authentic Venetian taste and extremely peaceful. Here guests can breath the air of the real Venice, off the tourist track, surrounded by artisant workshops, old fashioned bookbinders and busy local market places.
