Art and Culture
If you can't find what you're looking for in Lido di Jesolo then a quick ride to Venice will likely do the trick. Here one can nearly take their pick from the Academia Galleries and the Scuola Grande featuring works from Bellini, Carpaccio and several other renaissance favorites. For a taste of something more modern there is the Peggy Guggenheim collection, in the artists former home on the Grand Canal. Local History
The region of Lido di Jesolo is quite rich in history despite its reputation of being a resort area. The museo Civico in Concordia contains several pieces that are important to the development of the area. Several small bronze statues and fragments make up the small exhibit as well as funeral aedicules. Near to the museum is a Roman abbey with several paintings and frescoes to be admired. Approximately 3 km away from the abbey in the town of Portogruaro is the National Museum of Archeology. Housed in its walls are several pieces of local importance of interest to those that wish to learn more about the area.
