Practical Information in Tuscany
Edit ThisOne of the most attractive zones in the province of Tuscany is the wine region of Chianti.
And one of the best ways to enjoy Chianti, or indeed all of Tuscany, is in type of accommodation called agriturismo, which is a working farm that offers reasonably priced accommodation, and often, though not always, meals made from the produce from the farms.
Rooms or apartments in farmhouses or converted haybarns is mostly self catering and ideal for friends or family travelling together. Staying at an agriturismo is a great way to get a relaxing insight into rural life in Tuscany especially at wine harvest time in autumn.
A word of warning though, sometimes the agriturismo's can be quite difficult to get to if you are travelling by public transport, so check train and bus links before booking.
