Getting There in Palermo

by boat:
Ferry and hydrofoilservices dock at the Stazione Marittima, just off Via Francesco Crispi, from where it is a ten-minutes walk up Via Amari to Piazza Castelnouvo.
by air:
Palermo's "Punta Raisi" airport is located some 10km west of the city. It is well conneced with several national and european destinations.
by car:
Town Council Resolution n. 13, dating January 31, 2000, approved the Urban parking Plan, realising 369 parking areas, for the total amount of 62.590 cars, out of both public and expropriated private areas. With the same Resolution the Urban Parking Program was approved and, in the context of parkings envisaged by the Urban Parking Plan, it has singled out 146 parking infrastructures with a total of 26,534 cars. To make it short: You will have some difficulties in finding a safe parking place.
