Castellana Grotte Travel Guide

Castellana Grotte is wellknown for the big limestone caves (Grotte di Castellana) in its vicinity, which are among the largest in Europe and showing various forms of stalactites and stalagmites. There are guided tours daily, during the low season only before noon and only in Italian, during high season also during afternoons and in other languages. There are two alternatives, a shorter walk of up to one hour and a longer walk of three hours.
