Turin Festivals: Jan – March

Torino Anima Tango, presented in January, has this traditional dance that attracts tango dancers from all over the world. Visitors to Turin watch the spectacular outfits and dances choreographed by teams. The New Year’s Eve concert features music to all in Turin’s main piazza.

Automotoretro fair in February has vintage cars lined up by the dozens. Enthusiasts will want to see this festival held in Turin or show off their own vintage car. Turin Festivals: April – June

Il Gioco del Teatro, held in April, attracts theatre lovers to this international event. Many acting companies perform for entertainment at this festival in Turin. Also in April is the Turin Marathon where participants compete in the race to prove endurance among other competitors from all across the globe.

In May, the Turin International Book Forum has over 100 exhibitions and draws well over 200,000 attendees. The publishing industry in Italy’s event is the largest to see while visiting Turin. In June, tourists go to see the Feast of San Giovanni. Traditional costumes are seen in parades throughout the streets of Turin. Sideshows and exhibitions are held along the route. Firework displays are included as well as dancing at the Turin Cathedral.

Turin Festivals: July – September

In July, Centro Interculturale Festival’s 2 day event features dance and theatre. International shows offer a wide range of activity and also include workshops. Docume within the Park offer tourists shows that are seen at Parco del Valentino. The documentaries are focused upon ethical and social issues across the globe.

In August, the Identita e Differenza festival features celebrations of identity and diversity. International music and food gives travelers to this region a sampling of food from across the world. September brings about the Settembre Musica. This 80 concert music performances offer a range of music from classical to modern.

Turin Festivals: October – December

Salone del Gusto, held in October, feeds over 150,000 tourists and attendees. Gourmet food is enjoyed during this 5 day Turin festival. Artissima International Fair of Contemporary Art in November attracts galleries to display artwork and sculptures from all across the world. In December, the Christmas Market in Turin festivities kicks off. Celebrate the season in Turin during this festival with many traditional and modern decorations and traditions.
