Gran Balôn
Edit This
The Gran Balôn, that takes place on the second Sunday of every month, has reached the level of the celebrated Marché aux puces (Flea Market) in Paris: a market of curiosity, collector's items, lace, toys and old publications, together with antique objet d'art and furniture of rare quality that is attracting more and ore people from all over Italy.
The Gran Balôn fair has reached its thirteenth year of operation in 2000 but has its roots in the old market traditionally held in the Borgo Dora district of Turin on Saturday mornings. Every second Sunday in the month, the Gran Balôn provides an occasion for jam-packed day among furniture, carpets, chinaware, silverware, postcards, costume jewellery, clothes of a bygone age and modern antiques dealing, certain that there will be an object/temptation not to be resisted, for all who stray in this direction.
