Bars and Cafes in Turin

Edit This

Turin is now a metropolitan city that is a delight to any tourist. It is a mix of culture, art and entertainment that enhances historical value with modern innovations. There are many bars and cafes that embody this spirit of the city. The Turin Bars and Cafes guide lists some nice options, where tourists can relax with a coffee or a glass of wine.

Caffe San Carlo

Some have called it the “living room of Turin” because it is the haven for artists, poets, writers and businessmen. The historical café found at Piazza San Carlo, is an architectural wonder due to its subtle artistic restoration. It continues to bring awe with its massive chandelier and ornate décor. The pastries are freshly baked and the service is efficient. Not much bravado over the drinks but the café is open until midnight daily.

Birrificio

Although Turin is popular for its bewitching aperitivos offered in almost every café in the city, Birrificio is a bar that is all about beer. This brewery which is located at Via Parma, 30 brings balance to the Piedmontese wine served all over the city. It usually caters to students, locals and foreigners who just about had enough of wine.

Café Blue

If you want rock, hip-hop and ska music to grind to, Café Blue is the place to be. Secluded but worth the trip, this bar has awesome lighting and great music to dance to and have fun with. On Sundays, a tango theme is enforced where you can move and glide with your partner to the sensuous rhythm.

Caffe Torino

This famous café is known for more than just the name. The bull emblem embedded on the pavement outside the café has been known to bring luck to anyone standing on it. Caffe Torino is open from 7 a.m. to midnight and it serves amazingly rich coffee, which has led to several literary praises paying homage to it on the walls of the café. Stylish and classy, you can sit outside the café under the porticoes and simply relax. Take in the bustle and buzz of Turin from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. with tasty dishes for 7 euro.

Caffe Mulassano

Last but definitely not the least among must-go places in Turin is the Caffe Mulassano. This café is open from 7:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and is known for its claims of having invented the tramezzino, an Italian sandwich. The quaint shop will not only fill your stomach with its tasty dishes and delicacies, it will also feed your eyes with its notable decorations and artworks done on the café walls, ceilings and floor. Cocktails are priced between 5 and 7 euros. Caffe Mulassano also claims to serve the best espresso in the city.

Turin also offers other unique venues like the Combal.0 with its famous “cyberegg” delight, El Paso which has a variety of programs that can go along with your drinks and meals, and Pastis where hip and fashion savvy people converge for coffee and drinks. With its diverse offerings, Turin’s Bars and Cafes will always have something for everyone.
