Eating Out in Como
Edit ThisOne of the dishes most associated with Como is Polenta. These little yellow lumps used to constitute most of the poor man's diet. It was made for lunch every day, and leftovers would be eaten for breakfast or as a side dish at dinner. Today, you can still enjoy many delicious specialities with polenta. Other Como delicacies are the caprini (goat's milk cheeses), salami and mushrooms. And of course, a wide variety of fish from the lake: allis shads, lavaret, perch.
Any good restaurant will surely serve one of these things, and many other things to make you wish you would never have to leave again.
