Under the Ground of Citta Alta

Take a tour under the ground of Citta Alta and see aquaducts, water cisterns, fountains, wells and bomb shelters. There is a huge water cistern under Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe. There are huge underground galleries for the canons of old. There is the Fountain of Lantro situated under the Church of San Lorenzo at the beginning of Via Boccola and built way before the year 928.
