Le Mura

Edit This

Le Mura, the majestic walls seen around the upper town today, were built by the Venetians starting in 1561.

The principle big door is Porta Sant'Agostino built in 1575 and is the entrance to Città Alta at the top of Viale Vittorio Emanuele.

There is an awesome walk along the top of "Le Mura" including parks and a view for kilometers of the lower town and the plains below.
