Museum of Natural Science

See the gaint Mammoth and many other animals at the Museum of Natural Science in Piazza Cittadella in Citta Alta next to the Museum of Archeology. Free entrance.

The Museum is in the seat of the Istituto Musicale (Palazzo della Misericordia) and has autographs, belongings and books of the great musician from Bergamo. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:30 to 12 and 14:00 to 17:00. Sunday 10 to 12 and 14 to 16.
Closed Mondays, holidays and August 15. Free entrance. During the Donizetti Festival visits are only by reservation.

Besides the museum of Gaetano Donizetti see also the famous artist's house, a characteistic example of a home from the beginning of the 1800s. Free entrance. Saturday and Sunday more..

The Modern Art Gallery is across the street from the Accademia Carrara. There are many interesting exhibits here that change all the time.
