Descending the upper part of this valley you find the important village of Montebruno a well known holiday resort with also a famous historical background. He is most famous for its Sanctaury of Nostra Signora but there is also a very important roman bridge, a passage for the Ligurian pilgrims and the High Way of the Ligurian Mountains. It has also an interesting folk museum.
Montebruno is also famous to have been the landing place of Sophie Blanchard and gained recently national importance to have elected the youngest mayor in Italy.
From here you can go to Barbagelata The hamlet of Barbagelata (1 1 15 rn) is a summer resort. the uppper village of the Ligurian Mountains
