Lavagna is situated in the Tigullio Gulf on the alluvial plain formed by Entella stream opposite of Chiavari. Lavagna has developed perpendicular to the coast following a main street leading to the parish’s square. The city is provided with a famous turistic harbour and due its economic welfare mainly to the touristic activity. Thr main building in Lavagna is the old parish of Santo Stefano which was rebuilt in 1650 by the architect Gio Batta Ghiso. In Libertà square we can visit the Baroque Franzone Palace, seat of the town hall.
