Chiavari Travel GuideEdit This The best resource for sights, hotels, restaurants, bars, what to do and see
Chiavari is the most important cty of Tigullio Gulf. There are about 30.000 people who live in it and it's probably one of the richest cities of the Italian Riviera. It is very interesting to shop in Chiavari because of its central pedonal street which contains many beautiful shops. In Chiavari there is a well-stocked museum of the Risorgimento period dedicated to Garibaldi and Mazzini. It is the home of the straw-chairs called “the town of arcades”: see for yourselves by taking a walk along the shopping centre of the old “Caruggio Dritto” where you can find a very busy antique market every second week-end of each month. After a stroll around the old part of the city look into the Palazzo Torriglia picture gallery and finish up relaxing on the beach.
