Sestri Levante is a town in Liguria, Italy. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, it is about an hour from Genoa. Sestri Levante Shopping is getting more interesting every year. This was a quiet fishing village and right now it is slowly becoming a tourist hot spot. The old town has been there for centuries and the new town is growing rapidly. Sestri Levante is well known for its olive oil, wine, cheese, salami and pasta and tourists can find small shops all around which have this kind of groceries. Old Salumificino Castiglione is one of the oldest and nicest places in the city. The owner is pleasant old man who always let people try their goods before buying them. This store has their homemade salami and the cheese is always fresh and smells delicious.

The House of Honey

This place has been opened since 1979 and the family produces the best honey in the area. They even won the national award so we can easily say that this is the best honey in Italy. You can even have a tour on their bee farm.

Nougat Factory Rossignoti Angelo

This family started their work in 1840 and has been producing nougat ever since. The “farm” has three shops in the city, one of them has a workshop where tourists can watch how to make nougat and, of course, taste the product. There is also a factory for producing sweets. This is also one of the most famous nougat factories in Italy and North America, too.

Tigullio

This place is located just on Via Nazionale and it sells the best pasta and pasta sauce in the city. There is always line of people waiting to buy pasta and there are so many different types that probably a tourist who doesn’t know the types will stay for hours in the shop. Sauce can be purchased here too. Try the one with blue cheese.
