Cantina del Polpo is by no doubt one of the best Sestri Levante restaurants. This is a place where you can try some fine seafood delicacies like octopus, squid or cuttlefish, accompanied by some of the best local wines.

Overview

Cantina del Polpo was opened in 1989 and is situated on Piazza Cavour, in the middle of the old town. The place is very nice and cozy, decorated simple, yet very stylish. The interior is enriched with different antiques. It is a very popular location among tourists, and it is a good idea to make reservations, especially for dinner, as there are frequently no free tables. The prices are very reasonable and the food quality is very high. Specialties vary depending on the season. Keep in mind that no credit cards are accepted, so you’ll have to pay in cash.

Service

The service at Cantina del Polpo is excellent. The restaurant is maintained by a small friendly collective of about 5 people. They are very polite and always welcome you with a smile. You immediately get their attention and your order gets processed really fast, even when the restaurant is full. If you have any troubles in deciding what to order, you can always ask them for an advice, as they are competent and will surely suggest you something great.
