Pigna and Castelvittorio are lovely little mountain top villages high in the clouds on the road from Dolceacqua and north of Ventimiglia.

You can get there by bus or by car, but you'll be advised to return on the same narrow windy road! Great scenery, but the villages are in bad state of repair for the most part. Castelvittorio has a good restaurant and another small bar in the main street. Lots of good walking trails and good photo opportunities. Worth a visit.
