This itinerary starts from Imperia just off the Genoa- Ventimiglia motorway (Imperia est exit) and you come across Pontedassio famous for the "Spaghetti museum" and whit many big interesting shopping supermarkets. Going further you enter in one olive tree area and if you go up to Lucinasco you can visit the interesting medieval village with the churches of St. Stephan (Santo Stefano) and of the Maddalena still like it was in the 15th century, full immersed in the olive groves. returning down to Chiusanico with the Olivetan Santuary, you find then Rezzo, an ancient mountain village controlled by the powerful Clavesana family with a palace-fortress and with one of the largest beech wood in Liguria. The road takes you then to Pieve di Teco in the Arroscia valley.

Ligurian and and somewhere Piedmontese gastronomy in this valley. Olive oil, cheese, raspebberries, bilberries and mushroom-oil are to be considered together with Pigato, Dolcetto or Ormeasco wines.
