International Poetry Festival of Genoa

Held over a period of nearly 10 days in the first half of June, the International Poetry Festival of Genoa is counted among the most prestigious of cultural events in Europe. It is also among Genoa’s most traditional festivals. The venue is usually the historic surroundings of Palazzo Ducale. During the last few days of the festival, some impromptu parties are arranged along the nearby beach.

Festival of Primavera

Celebrated in the first week of April, this festival is essentially an exhibition of Italian arts and crafts. Nearly every town in Genoa is lined with stalls showcasing various items which exude the Italian sense of style. This includes furniture items, clothing, wines and even stylistic camping equipment.
