Alassio, situated in the area called "Riviera delle Palme" is the pearl of the so-called Baia del Sole (Sun-Bay). It has 11.500 inhabitants, but the large number of summer tourists allow to reach up to 50.000. It takes around two hours to get to important towns such as Milan ( 245 km) and Turin (195 km), while it takes just a few minutes to reach Genoa (95 km), Savona (50 km), Imperia (24 km) and Sanremo (48). At about 50 km is the border between Italy and France: you'll need just one hour to get to Montecarlo or Nice. You can easily reach Alassio by any means of transport: by car (A 10 motor-way Genoa - Ventimiglia, gate Albenga), by train (Railway Station in the centre of Alassio) and airport (Genoa).
