Tre Scalini
Edit ThisRenowned for its absolutely remarkable “tartufo”.
Located in the vibrant and bustling Piazza Navona where you can watch local artists and entertainers play while you eat and drink, is just the perfect way to relax and while away some very happy hours.
Delicious Roman and Italian recipes served up by some very lively and welcoming waiters who go out of their way to be helpful. they are very entertaining in their own right!
"Crazy butterflies" - farfalle in a rich creamy sauce are particularly mouthwatering and the Tre Scalini house wine also goes down well sitting relaxing on the cooler side of the Piazza.
As for the "tartuffo"...chocolate heaven. Worth the cost of sitting down alone! Made to their own original recipe it's truly unmissable. If you get a chance just try this and you'll realise why the restaurant is so renowned for it.
Definitely a place you'll want to return to.

July 2008: I beg to disagree. Tre Scalini is a cheat...overcharging for entree, charging for complimentary bread, showing one rate outside and another on the menu at the table. Watch out. Take your pictures and eat elsewhere. If you want to hang around a piazza try Trevi.
