Getting There
Edit ThisNaples has an International Airport "Capodochino", located northwest of the city centre. The airport connects the city directely to the major European capitals as well as to many other cities in Italy. So if you plan to fly to Naples you should have no problem getting there. Once you land at the airport there is a shuttle service (blue buses) that will bring you to Piazza Municipio, right in the heart of the city. The bus leaves every 50 minutes between 6am and midnight. You can also take the normal bus no. 14, that leads every 15 minutes to Piazza Garibaldi (30 minutes ride).

By train:
Of course you can also reach Naples by train, however, trains in Italy are rather expensive. Anyway if you are coming by trains keep in mind that there are four main railway stations you could be arriving to. The two major ones are Napoli-Centrale and Napoli-Piazza Garibaldi. There is from the logistic point of view no difference between the two, they are in fact in the same bulding. The difference is that Napoli-Centrale is at the street floor and Napoli-Piazza Garibaldi is underground. The other two important railway stations are Napoli-Campi Flegrei which is situated near the football stadium, the expo and most of the scientific academic and research centers; and Napoli-Mergellina which is ideal if you are just passing by Naples to take an hydro-jet to Capri, Ischia or Procida, near this station you will also be able to find the only Youth Hostel in the city.
