Campania is a region in southern Italy, home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Costiera Amalfitana, better know as the Amalfi Coast. The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the southern side of the Sorrentine Peninsula of Italy, extending from Positano in the west to Vietri sul Mare in the east. 1. Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea

Also known as the Church of St Maria Assunta, Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea is located in Positano, and is a fantastic example of Medieval art. The history of the church is rooted deeply with the Benedictine Monastery of St. Maria. The monastery was built to represent the Virgin Mary. The latest restoration to the church was finished in 1783. The magnificent exterior is nothing in comparison to the awe inspiring interior, with some works of art dating back to the middle ages.  

2. Salerno

Salerno is the capital of Campania, and is located on the Gulf of Salerno on the Tyrrhenian Sea. This picturesque city is situated at the exact beginning of the Amalfi coast, and is the perfect town to get acquainted with Amalfi life. Home to great restaurants, and lovely boutique shops, Salerno is considered one of the most sunny spots in Italy. The mountainous landscape along the coast provides strong winds and a beautiful setting.

3. Amalfi

Amalfi is located approximately 20 miles southeast of Naples, and lies at the foot of Monte Cerreto. The dramatic cliffs along the coastline provide a highlight to any trip to the Amalfi Coast. This seaside resort town dates back to Edwardian times, and provides endless alleys and walkways in which to wander and get lost.
