Bominaco Travel Guide

Bominaco is a village only about 30km from L' Áquila and connected with it by bus. There is a castle on the hill which must give a slendid view of the mountains across the main road to Sulmona.

However, its most exciting feature consists of its two churches, close together. The 13th century frescoes in the church of San Pellegrino are a national treasure and Santa Maria is a beautiful plain building with three apses dating from the early 11th century.
