Beaches in Dublin

Newly gifted a blue flag for cleanliness and water quality, this long stretch of sand in the north city on a man made island - Bull Island. At the northern tip is a wild bird and seal sanctuary.
Take the 130 bus an ask the driver to let you off near the old wooden bridge.
Great on a sunny day.
Even though Bull Island is lovely, it's not great for swimming- the tide is usually miles out!

How is a nice place to go to the beach near Dublin, especially for fans of James Joyce.
