The pubs are probably the main reason to come to Dublin. They are abundant and plenty to choose from. The largest concentration of pubs can be found in the Temple Bar area.

A stones throw from College Green on Poolbeg St, (off Tara St.) this pub is steeped in tradition, history and the Black Stuff. There is no loud music, no mobiles allowed, few 'beautiful' people but instead much chin wagging and colourful conversation. Former regulars have included James Joyce.
