A large town near the coast approx 45 kms north of Dublin. The ancient burial grounds of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth are located close by as is the High Cross of Monasterboice, all of which are well worth a visit. The town itself was originally walled and some of the old walls and gates into the town can still be seen. There is plenty of night-life here with many good reataurants and bars.
