Nocka, or knocknaheeny as it's properly known as is as the previous paragraph said...interesting. It's true that the fire brigade won't go there after certian times of the night, but if they do go, it's under police escort. (The police by the way in ireland are called GARDAI. Which is the irish name for peacekeeper.) 'nocka' was orginally built up in the late 70's early 80's. It's become renowned for the cork local called the 'Sham' usually a young boy/teenager who thinks he is god, and nobody can touch him. This area is actually ok, although it's just a small majority of the citizens which cause the trouble there.
On maps it's known by the name of "Knocknaheeny". North west corner of Cork city.
