Getting There in Cork
Edit ThisCork
Edit ThisLarge cruise liners dock in Cobh (pronounced Cove). Cobh is a quaint town with a bit of history. The Titanic's last port of call was Cobh and the Lusitania was headed for Cobh when it was torpedoed and sunk in WWI (the town seems to have a macabre pride in these events). The town has restaurants and ATM machines. The easiest way to get to Cork from Cobh is take the train that runs between the two. The train station is adjacent to the dock as is an information center where you can get a detailed street map of Cork city. Trains run to Cork on the half-hour and leave Cork for more..
