REYKJAVIK 64°08N 21°54W is the first in a series of travel books by paris photographer Ami Sioux.
She is currently shooting PARIS 48°50N 2°23E, which is set to be released Spring 2009.
The
idea for this book series was born when she was living in East Berlin
from 2001-2003 after a few people had handed her a hand-drawn map to
their home rather than given her just a street address because a lot of
people lived in unnumbered buildings on unnamed streets.
The
idea of the book in each city is to ask 50 people who live there more..

Located on Oskjuhlid hill, this landmark offers the best view of the city. On top of several tanks with hot water, a glass dome was built. You can go to the dome by use of an elevator, visit the cafe there, with an all around terrace overlooking the city and the local airport. There is also an (expensive) rotating restaurant, and a small wax museum on viking history.
