The quaint village of Hveragerdi doesn't have much to offer its visitors in terms of accommodations. However the lodging here is reasonably but not budget priced. Guest houses and bed and breakfasts are also available.

The breakfast is average but the view from the breakfast room is great. Eat pickled fish and gaze at volcanic plateaus and geysers on the other. There is not internet in your room but there is free internet in the lobby to check email. Five meeting and conference rooms of different sizes are available. You can easily walk to everything in Hveragerdi, but most places close by 9 p.m.

There are only good things to say about the above average Frost and Fire Guest House in Hveragerdi. Perfect for hikers it is only a couple miles to several trailheads. The main house contains various works of art as its main source of décor. Rooms have great views of the river Varma and skylights. Skylights are a blessing and a curse as they let natural light in during both the night and day. Breathe deeply and relax as geothermal heated tubs cradle you in mineral waters or you can swim in the heated pool. A typical Icelandic breakfast is served but with quality ingredients.
