Hveragerdi Travel Guide

Hveragerdi is a relatively young town that attracts loads of visitors every year because of its geothermal energy sources.  The heart of the town consists of several steaming hot springs and mud pools.  This energy is used to heat up a plentitude of greenhouses where an abundance of flowers and vegetables are grown and where gardeners and farmers from all over the country come to improve their gardening skills.  Besides that, the thermal energy is used for therapy.
