Henri Belgian Brasserie
Edit ThisLaid back place that serves a fine selection of Belgian beers.
This is a gem of a bar and a must visit for anyone seeking a good Belgian beer experience. They have a great selection including all the favourites, Duval, Rochefort, Leffe etc. all accompanied by branded glasses and in most cases branded beermats. There were also some interesting bottles of Kwak, Judas and Guillotine. All were given well informed reviews in the menu which contained this excellent description of Delirium Tremens,
“The pink elephants dancing a rumba on the bottle designates probable visions after over indulging. Almost erotic overtones are mingled in the beers bouquet. This triple fermented beer prompts us to secular rather than to religious thoughts”
Now I ask you, who could resist ordering a bottle after reading that.
They have separate eating areas and a good menu with plenty of small dishes to complement the drinking experience. The service is good without being intrusive. Open 12.00 to 24.00 it was quiet during the afternoon but got much busier during the evening.
To find it walk over the Chain Bridge from the Pest side then turn immediately right before the funicular railway and walk along the riverside. You will find it on the left after a few minutes walk.
