Treks
There are a good many day treks to choose from while vacationing in the village of Stoupa. One can try out the Coastal Merchant’s route which begins at Thalames. The trail will also take you along the coastal villages of Aghios Nicholaos and Aghios Dimitrios. It may be a good idea to slather on a good amount of sun screen, as there is very less shade during such a trek.
Swimming
Swim the calm blue waters of Stoupa’s 3 beaches- Stoupa Beach, Halikoura Beach and Kalogria Beach. It is advisable to be a bit careful when swimming on the Halikoura Beach as it is quite rocky. If you get bored of lounging around in the sea, why not get your adrenalin racing with one of Stoupa’s many beachside water sports. You can chose from scuba diving, parasailing and snorkeling.
Greek Cuisine
Those who are into sampling local gastronomical fare when on a holiday should definitely not miss out on traditional Greek cuisine in Stoupa. There are a plethora of restaurants and cafes such as Kosta, Melissa, Yesterday and Today and the Stoupa Restaurant. The village also houses many taverns that serve up excellent locally produced wine.
Go sailing
You can hire a boat from any one of Stoupa’s 3 beaches. A boat ride for around 3 hours will set you back of just $7 in Stoupa! On the boat ride, you can expect to stop at smaller beaches along the coast, which are very pristine, untouched and a huge delight to explore. You will also get to explore the many coves along the northern coast of Stoupa.

Sightseeing in Stoupa wil be heaven for those who love history, arts, culture and adventure. The Peloponnese sites of Mistras, Monemvasia, Myctnae, Nafplion and Kalavrita should not be missed. The Diros Caves provide a fascinating spectacle too, while Stoupa’s Mani Area has much to see and do. The caves of Katafigi Selinitsa houses bones that are proof that this very cave was the mouth of a river, that flowed through the Katafigi cave, and resulted in the creation of tunnels. You will also get to see stalagmites and stalactites on the walls, ceiling and floor.
