Shopping in Stoupa
Edit This
In the charming coastal village of Stoupa you will find a
beautiful resort area surrounded by turquoise blue water, rolling hills
and towering cypress trees. Definitely known to be one of the
Mediterranean's southern tourist hot spots Stoupa draws both the
young and mature vacationer throughout the year. There are many places
to shop in Greece, and although Stoupa is considered a small resort and
fishing village, there are plenty of nice local shops and boutiques to
do Stoupa Shopping.
Bakeries and Sweets
Along the main boardwalk in Stoupa, you will find some quaint bakeries, pastry shops and an ice cream shop. The first is Balachtari which sells freshly made bakery items and pastries daily. The next pastry shop in Stoupa is called Dolcini. They make additional specialty pastry items for customers. The last is The Ice Cream Parlour where you can find some of the most delectable flavors of rich homemade ice cream in all of Greece.
Supermarkets
The most abundant kind of shop in Stoupa is the supermarket. There are a few throughout town so you don't have to travel far from your hotel to find one. Each carries the same types of items - fresh fish caught right off Stoupa's shores, fresh produce, meats, cheeses, olives which are grown wild right in the Stoupa hills, wines and most everything else you could think a supermarket would carry. The names of the Stoupa supermarkets are: Eftihia Supermarket, Katerina Supermarket and Panaghiotopoulos Supermarket.
Gift Shops
Right off the main beaches are a couple of nice gift shops and art galleries. Anatoli offers handmade gifts of all sorts of souvenirs, jewelry, and more. Mesogio is an art gallery and fine gift shop in the same area of Stoupa. You will find exquisite hand crafted arts here including sculptures, pottery, paintings and more. The last gift shop is called Hanna and features additional touristy items like souvenirs, disposable cameras, newspapers, books and maps.
Miscellaneous Shops
The last couple of shops in the village of Stoupa are for hairdressing and styling, and clothing, shoes and accessories. The Stoupa Boutique has lovely handmade clothing from different areas of Greece as well as shoes, jewelry, hats and handbags. Kalliopi is the local hairdressing shop in Stoupa, so if you're in need of a haircut, color, or just a wash and style, stop in and visit the quaint salon for a beauty pick-me-up.
