the Kazantzakis beach, this is one of the most popular bars among
locals and tourists in Stoupa. This bar offers you a relaxed and lively
atmosphere, where you can enjoy a range of cocktails, beer and other
drinks. Enigma Café Bar also serves juices and coffees for those who
prefer non-alcoholic drinks. The place is open till quite late in the
night and fills up rather quickly on weekends. Visitors to this bar can
enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and surrounding areas. Service and
food is excellent and the atmosphere is great, making it an ideal place
to unwind in the evening.
Akrotiri Tavern
Tourists
looking for a quiet place to enjoy a couple of drinks and authentic
Greek food should visit to this tavern. Situated at the end of the
Chalikoura beach in Stoupa, this place is open from 11 a.m. till about
midnight. Akrotiri tavern is especially popular for traditional Greek
food that is freshly cooked. During the peak tourist season, the tavern
holds Greek nights on Fridays and Saturdays. Visitors can enjoy a
wonderful selection of wine and food, while watching sunsets over the
water.
The Five Brothers
Located on the Stoupa
beach, this is a must-visit tavern for tourists in the village. This was
the very first restaurant set up in Stoupa and it’s still going strong

Greek food here. The Five Brothers is especially popular for its
grilled meat menu. The place is open all through the year from morning
till night.
The Butcher
One of the most famous
sights in Stoupa is that of a butcher carving pork on top of his
motorbike. If you see this, it is probably the Butcher Tavern, and you
must visit this place if you want a change from the traditional fish and
Greek dishes. This place serves scrumptious pork on paper with chips,
salads and local vegetables. You can even choose from other home cooked
dishes, if the pork doesn’t suit your taste. Apart from the food, you
can also enjoy a few good drinks and sunset views over the sea from this
popular tavern.
Tavern Kalogria
For something more
than just the regular drinks and food, visit Tavern Kalogria. This pub
is located right on beach, offering visitors stunning views of the sea,
particularly sunsets. The place is open all day and serves drinks,
traditional Greek food and ice cream. Friday nights are “Greek Nights”
in this tavern. On these nights, visitors can watch 6 dancers in
traditional Greek costumes dancing round a ring of fire. This is the
perfect place for those looking for an entertaining night out in the
village.
