The Dolphins was recommended to us by a local woman, who told us: "that is where we go to eat for Sunday lunch".  The restaurant is on the south-western shores of the island (just ask for directions).  Right at the water's edge near the Minoan ruins of Akrotiri, we lunched on olives, taramasalata, feta cheese, aubergine salad, freshly caught pandora fish and grilled prawns, accompanied by a pichet of the family's homegrown wine that matched the food perfectly.  It was a simple, delicious lunch in a delightful location.  more..
