Moni Agiou Nikolaou Anapafsa (Saint Nikolas) was built in the 15th century.

The monastery is a short walk from Kastraki (small village in 2 km from Kalambaka). Just follow the main road from Kastraki.

Moni Megalou Meteorou (Grand Meteora)

Edit This

Moni Megalou Meteorou, or Grand Meteora is the biggest and the best known of the monasteries.

Going there.
Some buses from Trikala run to Megalou Meteorou (via Kastraki).
You may go to Megalou Meteorou by foot. From Kastraki village follow main the road. You will pass Moni Agiou Nikolaou (visit it and return back to the road). A bit further the road begins to wind. Look out for a white chevron road sign on the bend. Right there turn left onto a cobbled path. When more..
