Sweetly sleepy Sitia wakes up at night and during the summer months when theres enough bustle to be fun, but without the hassle of the huge summer crowds elsewhere on Crete island. Every two years (teh next will be 2011)the Kornaria is a cultural festival held all over town during july and august when you get a chance to see some of teh regions (and greeces) best dance/music/theatre performances.
