It has never been cheaper to fly in Europe. Book your flights early and you can travel around Europe for an almost unbeliveable low cost!Getting around Europe is both easy and cheap by using one of the many European low cost airlines.
Today there are over twenty true low cost airlines in Europe offering flights priced as low as 20 USD. Most European countries are served by budget airlines, but direct flights are not available between many of the smaller countries.
To get the lowest priced tickets you need to buy your tickets at least several weeks ahead of your trip. Many low cost airlines only sell tickets on their web site or by phone. Use a directory like http://www.euroflights.info/ to find where the airlines fly to and web sites for booking flights.
Ryanair, Easyjet, Air Berlin and Germanwings are some of the better known European discount airlines. During the last few years several new budget airlines have started offering services, including Wizz Air, Vueling.com, Centralwings, FlyMe and Norwegian. These are smaller airlines, often based in eastern- or southern European countries.
aMost European low cost airlines only offer point-to-point flights. This makes journeys involving several flights more difficult than when flying on full-fare airlines. You have to pick up luggage and check in for each flight. Transfers are usually not offered between flights.
