Edit ThisAddress: An der Porta Nigra, D-54294 Trier, Tel. +49 - 651 – 978080
The Trier Tourist Information is one the most helpful anf friendly information offices I ever was. It provides English-speaking guides for special topics such as the Jews in Trier, pilgrims in Trier, old inscriptions, in the footsteps of Karl Marx, Friedrich Spee, Johann Wolfgang Goethe, etc.

These two post offices are open during normal business hours, also providing long distance telephone service. Stamps can be purchased from machines and from the desks.
Banks:
The visitor can exchange money at most Trier banks during regular banking hours: three banks are located near the Porta Nigra. Outside business hours, there are various other facilities available: Main Railway Station, automatic exchange machines at some banks, credit card cash machines (Citibank, Grabenstrasse). Tourist Information Trier accepts some foreign currencies and returns German small change.

Trierer Taxi-Vereinigung: phone 19410. Taxi-Funk-Service: phone 33030, 12012
Doctors / pharmacies:
Doctors' offices and pharmacies/chemists' shops are closed on Wednesday afternoon, but each pharmacy has in its window a listing of emergency pharmacies. Listings for emergency pharmacies, doctor or hospital facilities can be found in the local press or Tourist Information Trier.

Event magazine:
For coming events consult "IllusTRIERte", published bimonthly. Annual important festivals: Moselle Festival, Old City Festival, Flower Festival Trier, Wine Festival, Trier Christmas Market, Europe Volksfest.
