Founded in 1900, this museum shows 500 years of printing history, and pays hommage to Johannes Gensfleisch (Gutenberg), the inventor of industrial printing with movable type. A replica of the printing workshop of Gutenberg is on display, and live demonstrations are given to show the printing process. Among its treasures are 2 of the 49 remaining Bibles, that brought both fame and misfortune to the printer Gutenberg.
