Getting Around in Dusseldorf
Edit This
Local Public Transport in dusseldorf and surrounding are run by the Rheinbahn. The Rheinbahn, operating the tram, bus and underground services in Düsseldorf, covers a network of over 1.400 km. The U-Bahn (underground) covers the distance from the main railwaystation to the Altstadt in just three minutes. Düsseldorf's incorporation in the Rhine-Ruhr Conurbation Transport Association (VRR) means that it shares a uniform fare scale with the other operators of the wider region. It also means that the Trade Fair Grounds and the Airport can be reached comfortably and quickly without traffic-jams. Information on the Rheinbahn's public transport routes Tel. +49 (0)211 5 82 28

The Rheinbahn offers interesting tram tours with various destinations such as a brewery tour (to the local altbier brewery schloesser, short guided tour included) a wine tour to the winehouse Lamm (with tasting on board) or a tour with a historic tram through the city centre. Reservation strictly recommended. For detailed information and reservation, see Rheinbahn Charter or send an email
