Eating Out in Dusseldorf
Edit ThisAnd if you happen to find Flönz met Ölk (black pudding with onion rings) or Rievkooke (grated potatoe fritters) on the menu, you are sure to be in one of Düsseldorf’s typical brewery restaurants. Here the waiters are called ‘Köbes’, sporting the typical long blue aprons and exercising a rather earthy type of cordiality. The menus of the metropolis on the Rhine are truly versatile, delicacies from the Near and Far East, Japanese chefs celebrate their art not only for their numerous fellow-countrymen living in Düsseldorf, Pizza and Paella, Tagliatelle and Tapas revive memories of Mediterranean holidays.
The Altstadt in particular, with its almost 260 restaurants, is ready to treat you to delicacies from all over the world. However, do follow the gourmets’ trails through the other parts of the city, too.

Zucchero
Edit ThisWe eat here on our last night staying at Hotel Renaissance Marriott Dusseldorf, which is 3 minutes walk away. What a pity we would have come here several times. Real Italian food cooked by a team of genuine Italian chefs! You know the food is going to be good when you see members of the Italian community & their children present!
Don't be put off by the simple decor of the restaurant. Look to the trendy bar and the open kitchen where you can see your dinner being prepared!
We both had the same meal : Spagetti scoglia-which was spaghetti with a variety of more..

Meyer & Freemann
Edit ThisIt`s a cosy Restaurant in the landscape around Düsseldorf. It`s worth to go for a short trip. In leger atmosphere you can have great meals of good quality. They serve a variety of international dishes, traditional German as well as modern asian influenced and vegetarian meals. I recommend the different salads. The restaurant is furnished with wooden tables but stylish decorated. Specially in summertime it is nice to sit outside in the "beer garden". They also have special events like Brunch on Sundays.

Chanakya is a chicly decorated Indian restaurant, with a glass fronted kitchen where you can see all the food preparation and Tandoori cooking taking place. The regional lean to the cuisine is North-Western Punjabi, but they change the menus with the seasons. The restaurant is roomy, so is good for business and popular with the celebrity set. Catering for private parties of up to 150 guests is available upon request. It is undoubtedly the best Indian restaurant in the mainland Europe .
