The fascination of giantic industrial reminiscences in the Ruhrgebiet area inspired a most unusual hotel conception: art and "industrial" design in a little hotel in the city center of Duisburg. The former Hotel Stadt Duisburg is being transformed to ferrotel Duisburg, to be reopened in September 2000.
