Nothing much is heard from the Bhagwan fans nowadays, but everybody knows the "Baggy". Pepe´s Mexican Bar

Even copying a style can be an art - no other bar owner in Hannover has managed so far to copy the atmophere of Pepe's Mexican Bar. Palo Palo

The Palo has long since achieved a position in Hannover's club scene. There is a wide variety of music styles which delight a large number of fans. During the weekends there is mainly black music - funky and soul. Even famous stars like Mousse T. can by spied at the record players in Palo Palo now and then. So it won't be surprising that the place is somtimes crammed with people and you will get very close to your partner while dancing whether you like it or not. Mecki´s

The name of the bar is the owner's name. Mecki, plainly and simply Mecki. And Mecki has been in charge of his "cave" for fifteen years by now and he takes care that no modern stuff like techno finds its way to Mecki's. His guests appreciate that - they want it all to stay the same: the patina on the walls, the dark corners, sparsely lit with candles and of course Agathe the display dummy, haging from the ceiling.

Acanto

Even competitors must admit - the "Acanto" is the nicest bar in town. This noble bar is situated in the vaults of a former riding-stable. The interior is in Spanish style: lavish curtains, mirrors, chandeliers, fruit-decorations, flowers and candles everywhere. Everything matches the style, even the rest room. And the guests match the noble atmosphere, too. Elegant outfit is compulsory, nobody would wear trainers! Malicious people mumble that guests are bound to pay for the lavish decorations by the list of beverages. But the atmosphere is well worth it.

Casablanca

This small bar has been the meeting point of the "usual suspects" for twenty years by now. Three generations of the in-people of the city celebrate themselves in the smallest disco in Germany. On 65 square metres they meet in different parts. In the front part together with Bodo, the patron, you find the well-off fifty-year olds, at the bar the thirties and on the dance floor the twenty-year-olds dancing to the charts and black music. Twenty years of business has left traces, though nothing much has changed.
